I read a very inspiring blog post once by a blogger who lost a lot of weight. She made a list of the things she wanted to do and be most in life. Whenever she felt like going against her eating goals she would remember her list and ask if what she wanted was more important than the things on her list. It never was. I think it is a great thing to help acheive any goal in life. She also said that if she really wanted something (like a soda) she'd make herself wait. Usually, after a few hours, she didn't want it any more.
